Film Cumberland was created to help Cumberland, Allegany County, and Western Maryland become easier places for productions to discover, scout, and work with.
What we do
We catalog film-friendly locations, background talent, crew, vendors, props, vehicles, and local support — and we put that information in front of the producers, scouts, and creative teams who are evaluating the region.
Who we support
We support local residents, property owners, businesses, creatives, and production teams. Locals get a way to be considered for future opportunities. Productions get a real local starting point.
What we are not
- We are not a government film office.
- We are not a talent or casting agency.
- We are not a prop house — we don't own a prop inventory.
- We don't issue permits.
- We don't guarantee bookings, casting, rentals, or paid work.
How decisions are made
Listings are reviewed before they appear publicly. Private contact information is kept private by default. Productions are responsible for their own permits, insurance, contracts, safety requirements, and legal compliance.
